Freshwater Diving During January/February 2011
During January and February we took the opportunity to get wet in our local dive quarries. The pictures opposite reflect some of the different underwater discoveries at both Capernwray and Vivian quarries. We were particularly lucky that the water temperature never fell below 4c. I was especially taken by the colours and textures of the abandoned mine workings in Vivian quarry in Llanberis, North Wales.
Both Chris and I along with our diving buddies are looking forward to warm spring days and hopefully a hot summer giving us plenty of opportunities to savour the exciting North Wales coast. We have a trip to the Farne Islands coming up in April -so watch this space!
